Pretty much everyone has a box in their closet with a favorite pair of sneakers, trainers, UGGs, boots, or loafers that they really do not want to throw away, but are already a little embarrassed to wear. The shoes themselves may still be in perfectly decent condition and need no repairs, yet somehow they look like they have been through everything with you. Dirt, stains, and traces of road salt and de-icing chemicals are usually to blame. Maybe you have even tried removing them yourself, but the result was a solid zero. Wondering what to do in a situation like this? The answer is simple. Take your shoes in for professional cleaning and washing. Or, more specifically, bring them to the Reborn workshop in Warsaw.
Professional Shoe Cleaning and Washing
What Shoes and Materials We Clean
If your favorite pair has gotten dirty and needs professional cleaning, the Reborn shoe repair and restoration workshop in Warsaw will be happy to help. It does not matter what material the shoes are made from or what type or season they belong to. Our specialists work every day with:
- Winter, transitional, and summer footwear. Every season comes with its own problems and challenges. Dust and stains leave marks on summer shoes, moisture and dirt spoil the appearance of transitional footwear, while salt and de-icing chemicals leave a white residue on winter boots. We choose the right cleaning method for every case.
- Leather, suede, nubuck, textiles, and synthetic materials. Every material has its own characteristics, which is why we never work from a one-size-fits-all formula. Cleaning methods and products are selected individually for each pair so we can remove dirt effectively without damaging the material.
- Different types of footwear. We work with sneakers, trainers, dress shoes, loafers, boots, Chelsea boots, combat boots, ballet flats, moccasins, UGGs, tall boots, sandals, and more. We will find the right approach for every pair.
And we do not care what the label on your shoes says. Nike, Adidas, New Balance, UGG, Timberland, Caterpillar, Balenciaga, or a brand whose name only you know. If the pair matters to you, we will do everything we can to get it out of trouble and back into your wardrobe.
What Stains and Dirt We Remove
It sometimes feels like there is no type of dirt we cannot handle. Well, almost. Over the years, Reborn specialists have seen so much on shoes that it is pretty hard to surprise them with yet another stain. During professional shoe cleaning in Warsaw, we remove:
- stains from oil, grease, cosmetics, creams, lubricants, and automotive chemicals;
- food and drink stains from coffee, tea, juice, sauces, chocolate, wine, and fruit;
- organic stains from blood, sweat, and grass;
- everyday dirt, including dust, sand, and soot;
- specific stains from ink, resin, certain types of paint, and rust.
We do have to warn you that Reborn does not have a magic eraser that removes absolutely everything. The result of shoe cleaning depends on the type of stain, the material, and how long the stain has already been sitting on your pair.
Stages of Professional Shoe Cleaning at Reborn
Think professional shoe cleaning just means giving the shoes a good soaping, scrubbing them with a brush, and leaving them to dry? If it were that simple, you would not need Reborn. In reality, cleaning every pair is a fairly complex process, and it looks roughly like this:
- Inspection. First, we need to understand what we are dealing with. We identify what material the shoes are made from and what types of dirt and stains are present. This determines the plan for everything that follows.
- Preparation. We remove the laces and take out the insoles if the shoe construction allows it. Then we remove dust, sand, and other surface dirt before moving on to deeper cleaning.
- Stain treatment. Old and difficult stains are treated separately. We choose the products based on the material and the type of stain.
- Main cleaning. We clean the outer surface and the inside of the shoes. We also work separately on the soles, edges, seams, and other areas where dirt has had time to build up. The cleaning method is chosen individually, because what works perfectly on leather may be a terrible idea for suede or nubuck.
- Disinfection. We treat the pair with special products that help neutralize bacteria, fungi, and unpleasant odors.
- Drying. We dry the shoes in special chambers with controlled temperature and ventilation. This helps preserve the shape of the pair and prevents damage to the material.
- Finishing treatment. Sometimes, after cleaning your shoes, additional care procedures may be necessary. These can include applying protective treatments, moisturizing and polishing the leather, or restoring the nap of suede or nubuck. These services are not included in the cleaning price, so we perform them only after consulting with you.
If you think professional cleaning is the only thing Reborn has to offer, you are mistaken. If your pair has scuffs, scratches, cracks, or other damage, we can carry out shoe restoration. Our workshop also offers shoe dyeing and repair services.
